Halloween
I saw a shadow cross the moon
It was a witch upon her broom.
Looking for mischief to create
On this hallowed evening date.
I saw her dive from out the sky
Like a lightning-bolt on high.
Into the local burial grounds
To awaken ghouls that there abound.
Among the trees of gold and red
The moon-lit forest of the dead.
Beware all mortals out tonight
To trick or treat or cause a fight -
The witch and ghouls might grasp you tight
And boil your soul -
Oh! What a fright.
