I Guess I'll Take the Blame.
I'd like to know that she was mine,
but I don't even look her in the eyes.
Scared of being reprimanded, maybe....
Or maybe scared of seeing the lines?
Because I know she doesn't get much sleep,
and I know that it's because of me.
The bruises on her body,
from her wild idea of fun.
In an accidental way, they're mine.
They came from all those lies I spun.
I guess I'll take the blame,
since I know this happened because of me.
Here's a little secret,
and would you take it to the grave?
I hate myself for what I've done,
for all the time I can't replace.
I lost my chance, out in the truth.
But I take the blame, for hurting you.
but I don't even look her in the eyes.
I guess I'll take the blame,
since I know this happened because of me.

and would you take it to the grave?

for all the time I can't replace.
I lost my chance, out in the truth.
But I take the blame, for hurting you.
