Time of your Life
The clock is ticking & never stops
Illusion becomes a reality,
Childhood memories fading fast
Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock.
Alarm bells ring, play nicely children
A sudden flashback, your mother’s voice,
Surreal, in focus, no expression is shown
Check in with reality, wake up from this dream.
Occasional thoughts stir from inside
Remember events from not long ago,
No way! Forty years! Tick tock, tick tock
Move as fast as you can there’s nowhere to hide.
As the ticking gets louder don’t cover your ears
The race nearly over your fate is now sealed,
The illusion of time a fast ticking bomb
About to explode & drown all of your fears.
The ticking slows down as the pendulum stops,
What have you done with your precious life?
Sitting quiet in your chair slowly fading away
Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock.
Illusion becomes a reality,
Childhood memories fading fast
Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock.
Alarm bells ring, play nicely children
A sudden flashback, your mother’s voice,
Surreal, in focus, no expression is shown
Check in with reality, wake up from this dream.
Occasional thoughts stir from inside
Remember events from not long ago,
No way! Forty years! Tick tock, tick tock
Move as fast as you can there’s nowhere to hide.
As the ticking gets louder don’t cover your ears
The race nearly over your fate is now sealed,
The illusion of time a fast ticking bomb
About to explode & drown all of your fears.
The ticking slows down as the pendulum stops,
What have you done with your precious life?
Sitting quiet in your chair slowly fading away
Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock.
