He always put himself first
I always feared the worst
No love from the one that mattered
Falling apart and hot-tempered
Defeated by harsh expectations
A decline in health and appearance
Bruised and battered
Scarred and shattered
Losing this mental battle
Changed; ...a love forever tainted
No advice on life's challenges
No guidance given
Kept in the dark, well-hidden
Abused and weakened
Lonely and misguided
Alone and forgotten
Left cold and shaken
Stripped bare; ...a love broken
Wanting only the chance ..to love
Wicked; ....a Love forsaken
