Predator Vs. Prey

Here's that feeling once again
That isolation deep within my chest again
That pinprick tickled pink
that rusty needle making me wish I had a drink
or ten
leaving me with the taste of dead leaves and blood in my mouth
You've gotta be kidding me, I can't handle this right now
thought it took a vacation but its back again and I feel vacated and that feeling is heading south
through my body make me want it
like a swelled purple popped balloon at a childs birthday party, innocently, I feel like
I'm back at the start see, because I'm becoming deflated
Not so much infuriated as I am becoming elated, but I tried to tell you that I skated by you
and the glue still held
even though I still feel like a corpse in my own personal Hell
yes  
once again i'm feeling naughty
DIRTY like a pile of crusted dishes in the sink
wipe me up with that spongy material that has absorbed
everything you've ever taught me
shame on me its
enough to make me think that oh yes, fall is coming
Washed up and forgotten about like an unwanted memory
I only wish you knew exactly what that felt like
except different from a memory, I'll keep moving
and dance to a whole new melody
I'll watch the pipes crack and crumble and I can tell you excatly how it ends
