Shadow
My Love
You are all but a recurring shadow
A dark butterfly that flutters over my heart
You come and go
With no whisper of your arrival
Yet when you alight
You stay, hovering
Darkening all things
Casting a greyish tint to the sky
So that shadowy clouds reflect the color of my heart
Oh My Love
You are all but a fleeting memory
A sinister moth that laid unnoticed
In a murky corner during bright day light
Until night fails and shadows lengthens
Then you stealthily rustle your wings
So that melancholy race through my veins
And tickle down as raindrops out of my eyes.

With no whisper of your arrival
Yet when you alight
You stay, hovering
Darkening all things
Casting a greyish tint to the sky
