Hell on earth

The year is 2012
The night sky swells
As the darkness dwells
The thunder strikes twice
Humans we run like mice
Trying to hide away from reality
The drugs keep us from the truth
The devil is ready for war
He wants us to kill our brothers
And he will not just walk away
Until the earth is burning in flames
God sent his only son to save us
We tried so hard not to kill, but were to blame
As all this pain that we inflict upon our own blood
The greedy money that starts to vanish
Into the hands of these politicians
Who said they would fix everything
Oh the lies that surround my mind
I tried my very best
But we were stabbed in our chest
As humanity lays down to rest
This is a never ending war
People have no money for food
What are we going to do?
This is not how I thought life would be
But I’m only one man I’m just me
I can’t make a blind man see the crimes
Or make a deaf man hear the cries
I never seem to do anything right
So I take time to sit down and write
What’s on my mind?
Praying for extra time
Hoping that we can all wake up
From this nightmare that never ends.
