The Drive

The moon was haunting,
ever inconspicuous,
shrouded in a veil of suspicion.
Content with knowing
it watched you,
as you watched it.

As I drove through the streets,
empty and vast in a darkened vista,
letting one know they were alive
by the faint glow of street lamps.
A lone cloud sat above me,
a soft gray against the midnight blue of the sky.
It sat, and waved, with wisps of darkness.
Electric
Sounds
Music
take me home.
