Excerpt from the Devil Resource Department Text Book

Table 4.2 provides a review on the guidelines of proper torture, as provided by the previous chapter.

1.      Keep in mind the purpose of torture. Do not enact permanent damage to keep the body intact, in case we would want the client to serve our means.

2.      Know your clients. Note which they prioritize to protect, self or others (the Two S’s, Self or Sacrificial) and choose your methods accordingly. All follows to any creature, mortal or divine.

3.      Methods are categorized as Physical (bodily parts and material possession), Emotional (relationships, beliefs, and principles), or Situational (environmental and bodily conditions). Always think of the objects that you can take away from them and their respective degree of priority and importance for the client. Rule of thumb would be less blood, more pain.

4.      Remember Fa-Do-So. Start from mid-priority to initialize the fear, then lowest-priority object, then high-mid-priority. This would provide more understanding of your client, especially their torture tolerance. From then on, it is up to your preferred style on which to object to target next.

5.      Keep your working tools clean but never your body or workplace. Display previous clients’ body parts, blood spills, and overused devices for the current client to see. This would provide the atmosphere of anxiety with minimal cost and effort. Remove only when such paraphernalia might hinder performance.

6.      No negotiations. Always ask yourself: Can they actually offer anything?

7.      Enjoy your work. You are a pure being while you perform your duties. In case you feel this duty does not make use of the best of your abilities, contact your immediate superior for role replacement.
