Off the mountain

I am falling
I am tumbling down
I slipped and you let go
Now I am falling from the mountain

I was dragged down
off of cloud nine
Suffice to say
it was my time

My heart breaks with every branch
that hits me on this trip
They hang on the cliff side
one a day seems to do it

Sadly it could be a long time
until I am lower than I can endure
Then when I hit the ground
everything will be over
