Perfectly Ruined

Person(s): Myself, Jake (strong feelings towards), Colleen (Jake's former girlfriend)
Setting: Suburbs streets

Jake teaches me how to longboard on an empty street.
Just being near him is all i want, and longboarding is a perfect way.
I'm getting better with just hopping on the board and pedaling, so with more confidence i decide to start pedal faster.
I hear Jakes longboard behind me, along with another pair of wheels.
I turn my head just to find Jake and Colleen holding hands and staring into eachothers eyes.
I look in front of me, again pedaling faster, but not with the confidence.
I wanted to get away, let them be together.
I was never apart of the equation.
Starting to pedal faster and faster, i approach an intersection, a busier street.
Before i know it my board that i borrowed flips from underneath me, flinging me to the pavement ahead.
Laying there crimpled, clinging to the ground, i start to feel glad, free.
I won't bother Jake and Colleen anymore.
A Red SUV speeds down the road towards me, i mumble my last few words.
Sorry for ruining your longboard Jake.
