All peace

All peace exists only in the moment
All peace will be taken from you at some point
And you must work to recover it time and time again

Once you understand this
That peace is not forever
Peace becomes precious
And boredom vanishes

For what is boredom but an opportunity to consciously enjoy peace?
How can we ever be bored if our objective is to have more peace?
Don't you think the people living in war zones would love to be "bored"?

Don't stuff every moment of your life with input
Learn to enjoy the quiet of waiting for your tea to be ready
Or just sit and deliberately feel your body

All peace is only in the moment

Seize it!

Author's Note

Right now is a time of my life where for various reasons I can not work and have to undergo rehabilitation. And one part of the rehab I hated was the times waiting for the next session. But I realized that those times are actually an opportunity to enjoy some peace and quiet. I realized this on a saturday, so it remains to be seen if it carries over into the rehab week, but I hope so. It would make the whole thing a much more enjoyable process.
