Surprise Guest

You’ve had a taste
Of my razor blade tongue

Left shredded and bloodied
Barely standing
Your pleas for peace
Wafting in the air
Alongside your white flag
I agreed to
A cease fire

Words remained unsaid
Promises unmade
Deeds unsung
Lingered
In the destruction

I gritted my teeth until my jaw broke

I’ve outgrown your
Kind of kindness
Your type of guilt
Nice doesn’t fit me anymore

I’m taking back my blade
Watch your back
