Gilded Damnation, Canto II
Towers rise where shadows feast
Ruins worn by wind and time
Etched with shapes of sacred past
Marking paths once seen divine
Skulls ignite in silent flame
Hollow eyes like stars aglow
Their whispers thread the brittle air
Telling truths none wish to know
No voice proclaims the coming light
No trumpet sounds in distant skies
Only the fire
Only the void
Only the fate that silence cries
Geometric scars upon the stone
A map of loss, a fractured vow
Where priest and prophet walked alone
And none remain to seek them now
Darkness gathers thick as chains
The stars retreat
the heavens weep
Yet in the dust a seed remains
A slumbering spark in ruin’s keep
Thus, the towers, burned and bare
Thus, the shapes in sacred dust
Thus, the skulls in silent stare
Echo fate’s relentless thrust
Ruins worn by wind and time
Etched with shapes of sacred past
Marking paths once seen divine
Skulls ignite in silent flame
Hollow eyes like stars aglow
Their whispers thread the brittle air
Telling truths none wish to know
No voice proclaims the coming light
No trumpet sounds in distant skies
Only the fire
Only the void
Only the fate that silence cries
Geometric scars upon the stone
A map of loss, a fractured vow
Where priest and prophet walked alone
And none remain to seek them now
Darkness gathers thick as chains
The stars retreat
the heavens weep
Yet in the dust a seed remains
A slumbering spark in ruin’s keep
Thus, the towers, burned and bare
Thus, the shapes in sacred dust
Thus, the skulls in silent stare
Echo fate’s relentless thrust
