Leeroy's Burden
The many stand upon the hill,
They watch as the lands burn,
Their homes, Their lives, All they were,
For it is all they can do.
They must stand and hold,
Thus is their duty,
The oaths they bear,
A pain they choose.
For they wait for the time,
The time to march,
The time to fight,
The time to exist.
For such is the Soldier's call,
They burn their lives,
Abandon their homes,
Forsake their hope,
All to serve the ones they leave behind.
They watch as the lands burn,
Their homes, Their lives, All they were,
For it is all they can do.
They must stand and hold,
Thus is their duty,
The oaths they bear,
A pain they choose.
For they wait for the time,
The time to march,
The time to fight,
The time to exist.
For such is the Soldier's call,
They burn their lives,
Abandon their homes,
Forsake their hope,
All to serve the ones they leave behind.
