Image for the poem His Anger

His Anger

He felt like a gust of wind
Stern and violent
The room trembled in alert
Whenever he stepped

He resembled a mountain
Stark, fearsome, and towering
With a distance too far to cross
And a height I failed to reach

When unleashed, his wrath
Reminded me of an erupted volcano
Searing all who drew near
With a fountain of fury

He yelled like a peal of thunder
With harsh rumbles of rage
The epitome of a grim storm
Bringing havoc in his wake

His anger wrecked me
Its scattered ash coated my every cell
The only gift he ever gave
