Energy vampires

 
The energy vampires came to suck out all the joy
Draining everyone dry so no ships can deploy
If they are sad we all must be sad
They lack the empathy I always add
Quick draw McGraw on the over reactions
No calm thinking not even a fraction,
Always looking on the dark side
Even the sun goes off to hide
The rants don’t take a breath
The self pity party never dies a death
I see joy in little things like sleeping hearing rain
I’ve seen darkness but don’t dwell on the pain
Get dragged under by the vampires in this land
Yearning for the day someone like me takes my hand
Says I know you’re strong but I’ve got you
Instead of me being the crutch in all they do
The sun will shine through the clouds
The thought keeps me going till I can make me proud.
