Confluence
As the dawn light's strands
Filter soft through the blinds
Past shadowed trees and over dusky fields
You
Quiet beautiful
Lay
Lost in the last of nighttimes dreaming
Unstained
By waking world's worries
As I drape my arm
Across all that gives my life meaning
Ambered moment
Fined grained
In the merge of light and dark
My view
Holding the warm beating heart of you
But a moment more
A moment more
Then to rise
Do you understand me so well
As deep I seek the truth of you
Veiled as the night
And I the day
Who seems but barely the threshold to cross
The yielding of scars and bars
To true heart's baring
Your heart of heart's unfolding
Tasting but the ripples of the pool
Of the well of your soul
I thirst
And comes the day
Filter soft through the blinds
Past shadowed trees and over dusky fields
You
Quiet beautiful
Lay
Lost in the last of nighttimes dreaming
Unstained
By waking world's worries
As I drape my arm
Across all that gives my life meaning
Ambered moment
Fined grained
In the merge of light and dark
My view
Holding the warm beating heart of you
But a moment more
A moment more
Then to rise
Do you understand me so well
As deep I seek the truth of you
Veiled as the night
And I the day
Who seems but barely the threshold to cross
The yielding of scars and bars
To true heart's baring
Your heart of heart's unfolding
Tasting but the ripples of the pool
Of the well of your soul
I thirst
And comes the day
