Echoes
I remember the light once held in my hands,
A fleeting warmth, slipping through like sand.
Your shadow stretched across the sun,
A quiet promise, an undone one.
Now every breath is laced with ash,
A love that burns but doesn’t last.
I reach for you, but you’re not there,
Just echoes tangled in the air.
Take me back—
To who I was.
Before the chains,
Before the loss.
But your voice still calls, a siren’s song,
And I don’t know where I belong.
I feel you moving beneath my skin,
A cruel addiction I let in.
I traded everything for your touch,
A hollow warmth I crave too much.
Now I am pieces on the floor,
A broken soul you still implore.
And every step away from you
Just pulls me deeper into truth.
Take me back—
To who I was.
Before the chains,
Before the loss.
But your voice still calls, a siren’s song,
And I don’t know where I belong.
Do you remember how we began?
Before I fell into your hands?
I gave you all, I paid the cost,
But even then, it wasn’t enough.
Now I’m a ghost of what could be,
A hollow heart you’ll never free.
Take me back—
Or let me fade.
Erase the love
That you betrayed.
But your voice still haunts, it pulls me near,
And I can’t forget the love I fear.
I see the light, I feel the flame,
But it’s too far, I can’t reclaim.
You are the loss I can’t let go,
An echo carved into my soul.
A fleeting warmth, slipping through like sand.
Your shadow stretched across the sun,
A quiet promise, an undone one.
Now every breath is laced with ash,
A love that burns but doesn’t last.
I reach for you, but you’re not there,
Just echoes tangled in the air.
Take me back—
