You Don't Belong

All around are familiar faces.
Played out time of a past gone by.
Only there because of little eyes,
Wanting only for you to be part.
That's when the pain sets in,
That's when you know, you don't belong.
When you put on a smile and know you are now,
So far from home, you don't belong.
Familiar faces same old places.
Looks from those wondering why you are there,
So far from home, and not knowing when you will find home again, that's when you know you don't belong.
Heavy heart, and a feeling of nothingness,
Mind in a downward spiral,
The pain of life is weighing heavy upon your chest,
You know you don't belong.
When in daylight, you fade into the shadows of the sun,
And your not missed, you don't belong.
All the same worn out feelings, wanting to drown all the sorrow, filling a glass with tears, of no tomorrow,
Overwhelmed, heart racing, and everyone looking straight through you, wanting nothing more than to fade out with sun at sunset.
You know, you don't belong.
