Before I Wake
Black is my heart
I wake with a start
From nightmares so sweet
Wish I could return
To work I depart
To practice my art
I might find a treat
A victim to burn
I'll set body aflame
No face and no name
You're merely a doll
Meant to keep me enthralled
What's left when I'm done?
Blackened remains, I'm stunned
From the odor I run
This method, no fun
Next I'll try a mallet
Should satisfy my pallet
Not leave a bitter taste
Don't want the next to go to waste
I'll smash them into paste
With haste, I'll barely leave a trace
In case, most evidence erased
Heart racing at a breakneck pace
When that's all done
Another one,
This time meets my blade
Turned to spaghetti
By my machete
Through their red sauce I wade
Bloody footprints,
I'll ditch the shoes
By the time this hits the news
But no difference, my aptitude
For murder reached new altitudes
But this won't sate my appetite
This hunger keeps me up a night
I need another, to reach new heights
I'll soar beneath the pale moonlight
Before I wake again
