Image for the poem 15 Billion

15 Billion

15 billion miles from Earth

My son sits and wonders what’s beyond the universe

A bunny hops into the grass and we laugh and giggle

I think my son can be an Astronaut for Ages

We stare at the sky sometimes I don’t know why

We watch 3 crows chase a bigger Hawk

We always appreciate the beauty of nature

Go in the back yard pitch baseballs in the net

As we do, me and you are like me,we are on a string

See bumble  bees times two buzzing around us

So we throw the ball back and forth

But he can’t wrap his mind around 15 billion

He is a wonder I think he’s 15 billion in me
