GRAY
On the cloudiest of days, I find peace in the gloom of dimmed light,
Where shades of gray and white blend together, carried by winds in flight.
I gaze upward at the vast and heavy skies,
As my thoughts soar, drifting high, like whispers that rise.
With you in my mind, I am inspired to dream of love’s embrace,
A feeling that lifts me, boundless, through infinite space.
Soaring like a bird with newly found wings,
Free in a world where no cage can cling.
It’s no longer a cry for love, nor a desperate plea,
But a rejoicing—for love—that empowers me.
To live, to survive, and to greet each new day,
Even as storms leave their marks in the sky’s disarray.
Yet through it all, your presence remains—graceful and divine,
A truth etched in my heart, as stars eternally shine.
Our past was honest; your love never fell apart,
And in the future, I know—you will always be a part.
