In a Blink
In a blink, time flashed
Urging me forward,
Collapsed with a leash
Under the spotlight,
On a bleak stage
Belonging to the dreadful future
I’ve spent my past shrinking from,
While it has demolished
My life ceaselessly.
A slave under its spell.
