A love Anthology
I. Invocation
O Beauty, abyssal and seraphic,
Thy gaze stirs tempests and stillness alike,
A tincture of dusk and trembling dawn,
Lain soft upon thy fervid lips.
How could the finite not descend
Into the depths of thee?
Thy fragrance ascends like psalms to unseen gods,
Thy kiss, an ancient potion binding valor to the meek,
And unraveling the resolute.
From what astral depths dost thou rise,
Scattering bliss and ruin
With a heedless muse's artistry?
Beneath thy tread lie dreamers’ husks,
Their wings singed by thy flame.
Yet still they chant,
Crackling in rapture, “O radiant doom!”
II. The Meeting of Souls
How might my soul shelter itself from thine?
Thy presence bends me, a string beneath thy bow,
Resonant with melodies I dare not claim.
What celestial hand wields us thus,
Composing symphonies of desire?
We tremble, twin harmonics fused,
Thy laughter rippling through my silence.
Thy touch ignites dormant hymns;
I am undone and remade—
Brilliant, unguarded, eternal.
III. The Autumn Sky
Thou art an autumnal sky, roseate and sorrowed,
Where joy and grief dissolve at the horizon.
Sadness swells within me, a tide etching salt trails,
Vestiges of what once was.
Thy fingers traverse my desolation,
Seeking ruins left by wolves.
Yet thy radiance consumes me whole,
Thy gaze, an inferno devouring remnants.
O Beauty, scourge and sanctum, reign upon me;
For I am thine
In my ruin, in surrender.
IV. The Weight of the World
The weight of existence is love,
A gentle gravitas, unbearable yet vital.
Through solitude’s icy dominion,
And the ceaseless glare of yearning,
Love endures.
It brushes the body in slumber,
Births the extraordinary in thought.
Through anguish, it kindles divinity,
Crushing yet redeeming.
Without love, no solace exists,
No breath unladen by its ache.
Though bitter, though forsaken,
It scorches, refines, and clarifies.
V. A Memory Eternal
Mother of recollection, sovereign of yesteryears,
Dost thou remember the roseate eves?
Thy breath was the air I inhaled,
Thy essence, the fire coursing through my veins.
O those nights
When stars cascaded like molten silver,
And the universe dissolved in thy smile.
Even now, as shadows encroach,
Thy specter inhabits my despair.
Can vows and kisses infinite
Be conjured anew from this abyss?
As suns rise from hidden oceans,
Thy memory emerges—undiminished.
VI. The Reckoning
Time slithers forward, venomous and unyielding.
Yet here I stand, laid bare before thee.
Thy touch maps my ruin,
Thy gaze scorches with silent judgment.
In decay, I find something unbroken—
An ember immune to oblivion.
O Beauty, architect of torment and euphoria,
Thread thy needle through me once more.
Shatter, unmake, ignite me anew.
For in annihilation, thy song endures
A hymn of yearning and flame,
Where all that survives is the ceaseless fire.
