Fleeting Lights
I remember the heat of your quiet smile,
The way you whispered, slow like honey,
A warmth that stirred beneath my skin,
Making even the darkest moments feel sunny.
We were just friends for a fleeting time,
But in your gaze, I found a world,
Where every touch was an unspoken promise,
And love unravelled, soft and swirled.
You, with your fingers like poetry’s flow,
Your touch, like ink, tracing my soul,
We shared fleeting words, heavy as night,
Every glance a story untold.
You showed me how to chase desire,
To find beauty in the rush,
Even if the night was endless
You taught me how to hush.
In your arms, I found my peace,
Your hands like whispers, stilling my heart,
Every caress, a secret shared,
A moment where nothing could pull us apart.
We spoke in soft, lingering breaths,
Yet in your kiss, the world seemed wide,
For in your touch, I learned the truth
That love doesn't need to hide.
Then came you, with eyes like embers,
A fire that burned, yet made no sound,
Each word a spark, each kiss a flame,
And in your heat, I was found.
We built our dreams beneath the stars,
With desire as the thread that tied,
In each moment, so close, so raw
Time slipped by, but we didn’t hide.
In each of you, I felt a light,
A spark that made my dark ignite.
The whispered words, the tender touch,
They came and went, but meant so much.
The fleeting moments, like waves that roll,
Have left their mark upon my soul.
I thought I sought forever’s grace
But you gave me more than just a trace.
For in your love, and in your fire,
I found the joy that fueled desire.
You gave me warmth, and light, and bliss,
In moments burning, sweet like a kiss.
Though time moves on, steady and slow,
Each connection made me whole.
And now, the world is not so cold,
For you, my love, are in my soul.
The way you whispered, slow like honey,
A warmth that stirred beneath my skin,
Making even the darkest moments feel sunny.
We were just friends for a fleeting time,
