I am the petal you pluck
Petal by petal by petal
Til nothing is left
But I will not be that last petal no more.
I will stand up for myself
And be me and me and me
Til I am whole
And I will flower and get back my petals .

Very effective in its simplicity, this poem reminded me of Sappho and classic Japanese poetry. I liked it.
