If only I knew.

If only I knew how the real world works
with its secret turning wheel within wheels,
then detect the operator's wicked smirk

To expose the thieves and strings they have jerked
the deaths they have caused with their killer deals,
If only I knew how the real world works...

Then I'd see clearly that wars have vast perks
for crooked hands-across-the water schemes,
and detect the string-puller's wicked smirk,

And shrugs, death of people a business quirk
as they persue their unholy money dreams
If only I  knew how the real world works,

And see beyond the blood mist induced murk
of blasted children, their deafening screams,
to detect the string pullers wicked smirk

The rebuilding, an inconvenient irk,
For this is where they've seen how bright gold gleams,
If only I knew how the real world works
And detect the string pullers wicked smirks...
