The Ball Is Over
The balls are now over, they’ve tumbled down, fretting and baying all around as they fell, clamouring for my attention
The wish is said and precipitous in fortunate physics
Balancing at a reversed point in time
Bacchanals of joy, we have it over now that the ball has dropped!
Can you taste it on the air, just as a shoe is laced?
I’m round to the other side to retrieve, what a reprieve from the boredom of my tablet
Kicked away, for another play, shoed!
The tablet - how it sucks
Back to the same old new game again, dropping balls past cold heat and laughing as it hits father’s feet, retrieve, repeat!
Can you imagine a better game?
A more jolly time of day?
Again and again, his attention sways, again and again I want him to play
Look at the physics, with imagination abounding, I’m smiling
I’m laughing
Drop the ball over, drop the ball over, drop the ball over the cold hot again
