Shackled to Silence

I’m so fearful
that I might accidentally erase
those last shadowy lines
of your visage

Fear shackles me

but You
YOU
hold the key

Dare you reach
a freeing hand
to steady me?
Dare you speak
even in neutrality?
What shackles bind YOU
into silence?

I need you
So much
to Break Free
