Falling in a Dream
Falling in a dream
Catch myself drifting between
Almost asleep and about to dream
In that fleeting moment I realize
And try to catch myself
From falling into nightmares of my dreams
Access consciousness of my inner Id
Slices of life with some fiction mixed in
Or a piece of your fear comes to bear
Sometimes it’s so good try to fall back and pick up the story again
Or wake up in a panic sweat on your pillow
Parts of your past become ever present
A dream is of future time
Baked into your desires
Feels so real you reach out but it’s thin air
You reach to stroke her hair and kiss her lips
Wake up with arms wrapped round each other
