I Believe In Miracles
"I Believe In Miracles", is what I saw itched above my bed in jail.
The first time I read it I thought, "I'd like to believe that as well".
Months passed and now I'm here.
Writing freely on the outside and loving you without fear.
I believe in miracles, that too I now see clear.
Because after twenty something years it's you again that I hold dear.

Author's Note
I was laying in jail looking up and I was thinking of an ex girlfriend that I hadn't talked to in decades when I read I Believe In Miracles. We separated on good terms but just didn't really keep in touch. I occasionally asked about her throughout the years. I felt a lot of regret because I didn't have the luxury to just reach out. So the first thing I did when I got out, literally, was contact her and now I tell her everyday how much she means to me. Miracles
