I'd been searching for answers inside of my mind.
Looking back, in and out, my direction to find.

We felt so right together that we laid our souls bare.
I was breathless, bewildered, intrigued, so alive.
I felt the hope that true love in my life could survive.
I've relived every moment; it felt so right.
Is the passion we feel to feed and ignite
A relationship built on foundations so strong
Is the bond so tight that it will last our lives?
It's so true that we never know just where we'll go
As we float down life's river, caught up in its flow.
Every once in a while, a rope from the shore
It draws you into a place that you've landed before.
But the people have grown, and the scenery has changed.
And the path you once traveled has been rearranged.
Yet it feels good, and you want to stay for a while.
Put your feet up, and enjoy how she's brought back your smile.
It's so pleasing to realize that there's someone for you
To give love to, share moments to last your life through.
