The Hollow King
In a moment of betrayal, when trust was laid bare,
Laughter masked the anguish, a heart shattered to weep.
A master of illusion, weaving pain with such ease,
In shadows of affection, innocence fell to its knees.
Sweet words turned to mockery, a cruel, chilling game,
As manipulation tightened its grip, an unrelenting claim.
Each promise, once vibrant, now wilts in decay,
Echoes of sorrow linger, where love faded away.
Behind God’s name, a hollow king hides,
Using Jesus as a shield, while darkness abides.
A wolf in sheep's clothing, as scripture foretold,
Charm wrapped in deceit, a heart icy and cold.
Good deeds paraded, a mask for his schemes,
While innocent souls are trapped in his schemes.
He seeks forgiveness from God, yet the truth remains stark,
And the masquerade ends, revealing the dark.
For grace cannot be bought with silver or gold;
It flourishes in honesty, in hearts brave and bold.
You tried to break me, but God kept me whole,
Longing to mend the fractures, to heal every soul.
Thought healing would flow from your darkness to light,
But I was just a pawn, ensnared in your night.
You slowly dismayed me, thinking I could not see,
But I am not blind to the truth that will be.
The mirrors of souls will reflect back your plight,
As shadows dance cruelly in the depths of the night.
For those hearts left shattered by your lies and despair,
Will rise up in vengeance, demanding what's fair.
How long can a kingdom survive on deceit,
When laughter rings hollow, and the heart knows defeat?
The wealth amassed may glitter, but it cannot erase
The haunting specter of love that was cast from grace.
So tremble now, hollow king, as you dance with the flame,
For the shadows will linger, whispering your name.
The echoes of choices will come back to bite,
As the pain you have sown returns to claim its right.
In the silence of night, when the world feels so cold,
Will the weight of your actions become a story retold?
Each innocent heart left broken and scarred,
Carries the burden of pain that you’ve marred.
And one day, when mirrors reflect back your lies,
Will the laughter still echo, or fade from your eyes?
The fear of your future will creep in like a ghost,
As the hollow king’s reign leaves you haunted the most.
For every heart you’ve shattered, every trust that you’ve crushed,
Will mirror your sorrow, your spirit will be hushed.
The debts that you owe will demand to be paid,
In the court of the heart, where innocence bled.
So tread carefully now, for the darkness you sow,
Will return in full measure, and reap what you throw.
And as for I, I carry love, and all the dark you bestowed,
Will be covered in light. With God’s might, I will heal through ashes and pain,
Strength will arise, stronger than before, I will surely gain.
And you, the hollow king, will meet your demise.
