In Your Eyes

I am lost in the glow of your eyes
Warmth that is hard to contain
Please smile pretty lady
At least for one moment
Make me forget

No unblemished face can make me forget
The euphoria when see is present
Washed away the other beings
As if trapped in a never ending warp
The space of two

A drowning I do fear
In too deep
A crime if I can't get out
And what if she leaves
Solo existence

And yet a requisite for living
Something gained something lost
And through the pain we gather wisdom
Upon which we build the textures of our lives
We build links to humanity

For all that defeats us
Contains that which builds us
With the guiding tenant
That society is preserved
By the awareness that in conclusion
We are interdependent
