Happily Ever After

When I was little  
I always used to dream of being rescued  
by a knight upon a steed  
Meeting my prince charming
 and being swept off of my feet
 by his touch that is so gentle
 and his words that are so sweet  
We would have a love that is unbreakable  
Trust that is unshakable  
I knew I would get my happily ever after
 the moment we finally meet  
 
When I got older  
I started to believe  
This world had only dragons  
No knight would rescue me
Prince charming was lie
Just a story and that's all
There will never be a knight  
Or a prince to catch me when I fall
 
But then I met prince charming  
His words gentle and sweet  
I look into his eyes and I can see his love for me
He caught me as I fell and he held onto my hand
My knight in shining armor  
ready to fight the largest dragon in the land  
He wouldn't even flinch at it's fiery breath  
 if it was me he was fighting to protect  
I found a love that's pure and true  
I found my happily ever after
