With haunting smoked eyes looking into my soul
of moonless shadow, hollow, dark, and cold
as we waltz in silence intuned to the grave
lips beguiled throughout eternity's shade
whispering serenade a haunting tune
beneath the cello, a macabre ghostly moon
inscribed in the dark earthenware scrolls
