Unapologetic Mind
Desperate men convolute everything around them
Holding onto past accomplishments to remain relevant
What happens when there are no more pieces to sell?
Waking up one cold morning no longer in their element
Corporate dinosaurs keep growing bitter over time
Desensitized so much they think of themselves as god
Offering secrets to the highest bidder on the dark web
It’s a sinners heart fueling them to commit another fraud
Oh, what happens on the day they begin to realize?
That life in the fast lane leaves no witnesses behind
Moon-glow covers them like an all knowing spotlight
Eternal prisoner locked inside an unapologetic mind
Author's Note
Late night musing. The mind can be a prison, that holds you accountable for your actions. Appreciate you.

Our mind can truly be a prison, this morning I said to someone: we are our own worst enemy.
"Desensitized so much they think of themselves as god" > As god, ain't that the truth. I once saw a documentary which said that the most powerful people (like Trump for example) are all traumatized. And that their actions are to compensate.
Here: some early morning musings :-D Great piece, Damian, I appreciate you.

This reminded me Damian of some of the greatest sportsmen, actors, musicians, etc... who've had it all and lost it all ❤️

I have so many thoughts on this that they're all tangled up. I sat here reading & nodding with every line. More often than not, blindness has nothing to do with eyes. Thank you for sharing these thoughts

Great thought provoking piece!
Greed n more importantly a competitive society where people have an urge to prove themselves to others or yield to the society's expectations just to inflate their own egos is making them prisoners of their own mind.
