Calloused

I've prayed on my knees until my callouses turned into stone. Prayers unheard, Lord am I alone?
I've flooded this earth with my very tears and pounded the dirt until it shook with fear.
I pleaded for you to lend me your ear.
I've scavenged my soul to make it whole.
Surviving wars did take it's toll.
Lord I just want to know.
Why do you let the Devil temp me so?
