Summer Time Heat

Ants congregate on sidewalks as
half naked chicks distract me while I
drive home from work,
barbequed smoke rises mixed
with blacktop shimmering heat and sweat,
cold beer grows lukewarm in the sun,
too lazy to get up for ice,
heat does that.
