The Voices
Tick tock tick tock
Says the clock
I've been laying here
For too long
Another day
Another week
Nothing changed
It's still as bleak
Trapped between
My own four walls
And there's no window
There's no door
Some may say
It's quiet here
Yet they don't hear
The voices I hear
My limp body
In the lonely darkness
Waiting for sleep
To catch me
Nothing helps
I need to get used
To the ceaseless humming
Of the voices
Says the clock
I've been laying here
For too long
Another day
Another week
Nothing changed
It's still as bleak
Trapped between
My own four walls
And there's no window
There's no door
Some may say
It's quiet here
Yet they don't hear
The voices I hear
My limp body
In the lonely darkness
Waiting for sleep
To catch me
Nothing helps
I need to get used
To the ceaseless humming
Of the voices
