Hyacinth #3

Dear Hyancith,

Seasons change
And all that remains
Recollections of agony
Marred by the detriments of
our self-pity.
You were bred in utter silence
In a void ,
Words and thoughts do not reach
Nor penetrate the mind.
An echo so profound , yet unsettling.
I've watched you grow
Nurture and flourish.
Twist the tenets of faith
Be God's given gift to mankind
At times , I do feel the same
Spoils of the experience lacked
Often sit in wonder listening to the madness
They speak of an undoing
Hallowed in resentment
The deafening cries in the stairway
Gnawed at my demise
Lingering in silent corners
I lay at an altar of stars
Survived by memories and open confessions
Surrounding a bonfire ,
your stories are forever told.
In the heart of the dying flames ,
Graced by your presence.
I'd wager I'd be
Consumed by moths in the light
Wallowing and drowning out
A manic dream turned nightmare
It is so that we ebb
Never selling a dream out to auction
I fall behind my skeleton
With hopes you would share my dread
Circus acts only attracts fools,
That wish to be entertained
All that I am is all that you see
Till then id renounce your petals into the wind
Cry out your name from a seance
Fade out of existence
And wish you a kinder sea.
