Against Your Gates
I have planned against your gates since darkness fell.
And laid in wait, the greater hell.
Now among both sides, a slight in between.
And a growing prospect left unforeseen.
I imagine fire, I can foresee heat, liberation from the gun!
And sweat that falls like bullets, lightning beneath the sun.
Striking that will last from dawn to dusk.
And in the night sky, stars that fall amongst the musk.
