Solved The Dilemma
Hello, fellow poets of the underground. I tell you what it’s really hard to stay in a positive mood these days. All you gotta do is get on Facebook or YouTube and presto day fucking ruined. Especially anything that has to do with politics or the state of the world. I think I’m just tired of watching all the lunacy.
It’s theatrics and verbal semantics all day every day. I think some people would fight over a dried dog turd. Worse than that they’d get law enforcement involved and capture it all on video for public consumption. But saddest of all is the fact it would get clicks.
I should of never started reading all the comments under the posts. Just the way people speak to one another for having an opinion. It gets seriously disturbing the amount of slurs and insults that are hurled around like hot potatoes. I don’t participate in these arguments.
I’ve commented on posts sure. But here's the thing I’ve never got into an argument over a post. Worse than that though is the fucking trolling by people who must be bored and have a lot of time on their hands. Posting false headlines to start a texting war.
First of all I loathe texting with those little ass buttons. And secondly is the fact no one seems to understand sarcasm anymore. Everything is taken literally for some reason in my humble opinion.
Just today I seen a post about who’s the G.O.A.T. of the National Basketball Association. Ok time out hold the phones and all that bullshit. Here’s the problem with that whole argument.
It’s an impossible outcome because no one will ever come to a consensus on something based solely on opinion. Even if you bring stats and facts into the argument and narrow it down to two candidates that are universally accepted by both parties. It’s still makes no difference. No one is going to bow the knee.
Generational talents are far and few in between. But the term generational says it all. Jordan and LeBron both have fans and generations that follow them. I know there is crossover and decades in the middle of the two eras. The bottom line every generation has a sports hero.
No matter how close the comparison is the fans of each generation are never going to sell their hero out. It’s just facts we have memories and are loyal to them. That’s where I stand on the whole situation. Now you may return to the stalemate that is infinite if you choose to participate in it.
So shake hands and get over it there is much more important shit going on. I’m so old I remember when being called a goat was a bad thing. True story. I was there and bought the t-shirt. I hope I’ve solved this dilemma for somebody out there. Appreciate you. DL
