DAWN BREAKING
Your presence gently beguiles me mysteriously and mesmerisingly. My senses are hyper vigilant, and I truly believe I have seen the original dawn breaking. It appeared just for me in its incredulous glory. Full of promise slowly creeping one ray at a time while I’m intoxicated while watching an artist at work brush strokes smearing into striking hues of ornate flaxen.
It awakens me beyond my exterior and makes my eyes dance a slow rumba rhythmically undressing my bleariness with sweeping eyelashes. I am bemused at the fact early mornings can make you forget about time and feeling tired. As I turn to meet your gaze and it’s a surprise to see your smiling. I catch my breath
to stifle laughter almost camouflaged in recognition this is happiness because of someone and something that feels utterly sublime. My thoughts slip decades from my mind euphorically filling my cup with anticipation and a realisation that this is feeling deep in your roots with room to grow.
It’s a new direction a reincarnation that I am not sure if it’s left or right but for once in my life I don’t care. It’s not about where or how fast I go. I want to bask in this moment full of resplendence gifts and eagerly unwrap them all to cherish. To remind me of an early morning sunset shared will forever mean to me that life can be subliminally on your side. Especially after feeling life had walked on by while it left me standing on my own for a very long time.
