Image for the poem If I Were A Mime

If I Were A Mime

I'd be free of any social anxiety
I wouldn't have to worry much about anything
How I looked or how I seem
Nor would I have to explain anything
Like why am I so quiet and enjoy being alone

If I were a mime I'd have peace all the time
All of my expressions would be what you'd see
Subject to interpretation  at the very least
I wouldn't have to live a life of doubt
Instead, people can keep guessing what I'm all about
