My heart is too heavy
To cradle in words
They all crush and fail
Beneath this weight
Of hopelessly longing need
My heart is too heavy
For my heaving chest
To express
More
My heart is too heavy
For far too long Alone
so…
I softly wonder
Might I rest it
In your arms?
My heart is too heavy to hold…
…hold ME then
Or at least,
please,
hold carefully my
heavy heavy heart
