Wishes
I'm fumbling, clinging,
Desperately grasping,
My straining fingers gripping fabric,
Leaving halfmoons in my palms,
When all I want is to hold your hand.
I curl back into sheets, into myself,
I curl, and curl, and curl,
Wishing I was wrapping myself round your finger,
Just to bring us that inch together.
I press my lips to the rain,
In rememberance of your kiss,
Sweet and delicate,
The rain cries for you too.
Sometimes I just close my eyes,
Listen to the music,Of my hand over heart,
The gentle drum, only way to feel alive.
Every now and then,
I believe you are listening too,
My breathing soft strokes across your skin.
You wish then,
You wish you could have one last breath,
To whisper my name,
A hush in the night,
One wish brought to life.
Desperately grasping,
My straining fingers gripping fabric,
Leaving halfmoons in my palms,
When all I want is to hold your hand.
I curl back into sheets, into myself,
I curl, and curl, and curl,
Wishing I was wrapping myself round your finger,
Just to bring us that inch together.
I press my lips to the rain,
In rememberance of your kiss,
Sweet and delicate,
The rain cries for you too.
Sometimes I just close my eyes,
Listen to the music,Of my hand over heart,
The gentle drum, only way to feel alive.
Every now and then,
I believe you are listening too,
My breathing soft strokes across your skin.
You wish then,
You wish you could have one last breath,
To whisper my name,
A hush in the night,
One wish brought to life.
