Hollow Ones
We’ll melt into nothing
Searching for something
A place to call home
Our faces, unknown
Our thoughts are hollow
The truth we must swallow
What we give is meaningless
Nothing in our pockets, penniless
The way we were, we lament
As we fight the joy, so dissident
We stand there, at death’s door
Me, her savior, and her, my paramour
We are the hollow ones
Blaming ourselves for what others have done
We don’t think about what tomorrow might bring
We hang by a thread, so cut the string
