Todays Reflection
standing naked before a mirror
with body & soul trembling
who’s reflection will I see
truth is blinded by made up lies
heart splattering red, filling cracks
as if painting stained glass
turn an hourglass upside down
sand turns to dripping blood
leaking thru a creaking floor
gasping for one final breath
before l’m sinking into hells fire
it’s your reflection that I see

Oooo, this one is haunting. I like it. Had me thinking about what actual is reflected when we stare into the glass. Mostly, I don’t like it. The second stanza was sobering for sure and very relatable. Great write. H🌷
